P.S.: Der "Wine-Bug" wurde behoben. Und ich weiß nicht warum, aber Spiele wie zB Trackmania Nations Forever sehen bei mir jetzt viel besser aus und laufen auch flüssiger. :thumbsup:

Es steht nicht alles im Changelog, was verbessert wurde. So hatte ich mit dem 8.8er enorme Grafikfehler bei Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, die jetzt fast verschwunden sind. Für professionelle Spiele reicht es noch nicht, weil ich manchmal gar nichts sehe, aber Spaß macht es wieder.

Weiß jemand ob WoW mit ATI + Wine geht?

die sollten lieber mal die unterstützung für den neuen x-server implementieren
zum glück hab ich eine nvidia im pc und die ati nur im notebook, das ich eh nicht zum daddeln missbrauche

Gibt es denn überhaupt schon eine Distribution, die den Xserver schon verwendet? Der ist ja vor ein paar Tagen (10.9.) erst raus gekommen. Wer Alpha-Distributionen verwendet, braucht auch nicht unbedingt mit vollem Support aller Features zu rechnen, das wichtigste (incl Compiz) gibt es ja bei Radeons mit dem freien Treiber auch. Ich rechne fest damit, dass Xorg 7.4 mit dem 8.9er Release unterstützt werden wird. Außerdem meine ich gehört zu haben, dass der OpenGL3-Support schon sehr weit implementiert ist. Und das halte ich im Moment sogar für wichtiger, da Xorg 7.4 die Karten ja auch ohne proprietären Treiber befeuern kann, man kann ja dann nächsten Monat immer noch umsteigen.

Fedora 9 setzt seit Erscheinen auf X.Org 7.4 (in dem der besagte Xserver vorhanden ist).

Damals war X.org 7.4 aber doch noch Beta, oder sehe ich das falsch? Achja, und: Ich meinte natürlich, dass der 8.10er XServer1.5 höchstwahrscheinlich unterstützen wird, denn danach erscheint die erste Mainstream-Distribution mit der neuen Version. Wenn es nicht so sein sollte, wäre ich tatsächlich sehr enttäuscht. (Dass ich das mal sagen würde, hätte ich vor nem Jahr nie gedacht. Damals wollte ich, dass AMD den fglrx einstampft und die Programmierer lieber bei xf86-driver-ati helfen sollen.)

Das stimmt, bis auf das "damals", denn X.Org 7.4 ist immer noch Beta. Nur der Xserver 1.5 ist fertig. (und noch eine andere Komponente davon)

Jup, WoW geht
Ging sogar bei mir schon mit dem 8.8er, mit dem 8.9 wirds vllt sogar besser gehen wenn ich so höre was verbessert wurde^^

Man sollte aber folgende Tweaks anwenden:

Bei mir geht nur plötzlich Compiz-Expo nicht mehr... ansonsten keine Probleme, andere Compiz-Effekte funktionieren auch.
