wie eigentlich immer habe ich ein problem mit meinem ati traiber :baby:

doch jetzt hab ich ubuntu 7.04 drauf und wollte frage was ich anderst machen muss ?
weil es haut wieder nicht hin

bei 6.10 hat es auch nie hingehaun bis ich ne anleitung bekommen habe und in meine console einen befehl eingegeben hab, aber die anleitung hab ich nicht mehr

fürde mich sehr über antwort freuen =)

Was funktioniert denn genau nicht? Wie hast du es versucht? Warum weisst du, dass es nicht funktioniert hat? Hast du Logs? Könntest du die "Section Device" (wo der Grakatreiber eingetragen ist) von der Datei /etc/X11/xorg.conf posten?

Ohne mehr Infos können wir (oder ich) dir nicht helfen.


PS: Feisty ist nicht für den Produktivbetrieb, es hat wahrscheinlich noch viele Bugs drin - ich würde eher versuchen, den Treiber unter Edgy zu installieren.

Hast du das Modul fglrx in /etc/init.d/linux-restricted-modules-common deaktiviert?

Es muss so aussehen:

Du musst dann den Rechner neu starten (oder zumindest neu einloggen).

Eine Bitte: Könntest du vielleicht die ganze linux-restricted-mo.... hier rein kopieren, weil ich habe gerade gesehen, dass bei mir etwas total anderes drin steht:

Sag mal, welche Kernel-Version hast du denn? Wenn 2.6.20, dann kannst du das vergessen, weil der ATI-Treiber nur bis 2.6.19 unterstützt. Der Allerneueste (8.33.6).

Ja, wie gesagt. Mit nem 2.6.20er Kernel wirst du den ATI-Treiber nicht installieren können, weil der Treiber den Kernel nicht unterstützt. Musst halt warten oder zurück zu Edgy.

dann werde ich mal wieder alles neu machen :] mach ich ja nicht zum ersten mal ^^
und jedesmal vergesse ich wie man denn traiber richtig drauf macht :baby:

Das kommt auf ATI an, ob der Treiber den Kernel bis dahin unterstützt. Aber ich denke schon.
