hallöchen allerseits,

ich bräuchte eure hilfe

bei der verwendung von kubuntu edgy merke ich das es amnchmal nicht so fließend läuft, das heißt das die fenster beim verschieben rukeln etc.

ich denke das ich vielleicht nicht genug treiber installiert habe bzw mein system nicht richtig eingestellt habe.
folgene komponenten sitzen in meinem system:

intel core 2 duo e6600 (64bit)
nvidia nforce 680i sli mainboard
geforce 8800gtx grafikkarte
iiyama e2200ws monitor


verwende kernel 2.6.17-11-generic und hab bis jetzt nur nen graka treiber installiert den ich von der nvidia website habe (und hier in einem howto verlinkt ist). das nvidia-glx packet ist deswegen nicht installiert.

wie krieg ich meine system fließender?

diese frage hab ich schonmal in einem forum gestellt und bekam folgende antwort:

anhängen. ..grafische Oberfläche neu starten-- im KDE-Kontrollzentrum den Haken bei "Transparenz/Schatten" reinmachen...Wenns jetzt immer noch nicht besser ist, geh im K-Menü (dauf "Befehl ausführen", gib kwin --replace ein und drück Enter...


nach dem befehl kwin --replace ist es aber ein wenig schlimmer geworden mit dem ruckeln.


auf hilfe würde ich mich sehr freuen

ich würde mal tippen dfas deine graka noch nicht richtig installiert ist

was könnt ich falsch gemacht haben? vor dem login bioldschirm erscheint das nvidia logo und im kmenu erscheint ein x server settings menu von nvidia..

poste doch mal bitte deine xorg.conf

mit xfce keineprobleme

...ih hatte schon immer das Gefühl, das KDE einfach ruckelt. Ich weiß nicht warum, aber für mich fühlt es sich träger an als Gnome und XFCE. Bis auf den Graka-Treiber muss man normalerweise nichts installieren und für sämtlichen Effekte, die es so gibt, sollt dein System auch schnell genug sein. Es wäre zwar nen Versuch wert, die runter zu stellen, aber das sollte nicht nötig sein. Wie gesagt: Bestimmt einfach die KDE-Grundträgheit.

ja das ist auch mine vermutung..
ich verwende jetzt xfce xgl mit beryl und ich kann noch so die fenster hin und her rüteln es lahm nicht und xorg beansprucht bei dieser lasst nur aller maximal 10% der cpu. im vergleich bei KDE warens 80%.

außerdem ist xfce eher mein ding:)
